In 1956, a small group of wine growers got together in Mogoro, Sardinia, and set itself the goal of producing high-quality wines by traditional methods. Mogoro enjoys a special reputation for growing Sardinia's main variety of red grape: the Cannonau.
The select wine S'INCONTRU takes its name (L'INCONTRO - THE MEETING) from the ritual of a cosy get-together with loved ones and friends. And what better way to complete such a rendezvous than with a glass of fine Cannonau?
As the soil of Mogoro is particularly fertile and suited to growing the Cannonau vine, the local winegrowers have been able steadily to expand their project. Now thriving in an area of 450 hectares are some of the most valuable vines in Sardinia, grown using the traditional Alberello method.
