A hundred and twenty years have passed since Angelo Abbondio founded the carbonated drinks plant in Tortona, Alessandria, which bore his name. Thanks to original and secret recipes based exclusively on high-quality natural ingredients, he was able to concoct incomparable flavours that have been awarded official recognition and the approval of the general public. In 1997, the company still owned by the founder's heirs was taken over by a young Tortonese engineer, Federico Devecchi, who was just in his early thirties at that time. After the modernisation of the production process, the next challenge was to take the brand beyond its local roots where it had always enjoyed immense popularity, without abandoning its tradition for the highest quality that has always distinguished the company.
Today, Abbondio drinks can be found in the most sophisticated bars and clubs and in the best food and wine shops, for example: Eataly in Turin, Harrod's in London und Galeries Lafayette in Paris, just to name a few.
Even though Abbondio continues to place its bet on the quality of its traditional recipes, it also owes its success to a variety of ideas that have made a difference, like the original Pin Up of the Vintage Edition.
