One area of the vineyard belonging to the Benedetti Brothers lies on a high plain in the heart of the classic Valpolicella region, surrounded by picturesque hills. This plantation consists of 9 hectares of vineyards where the vines, which are 40 years old in some cases, are grown in the classic pergola form.
Another plantation is located in the eastern Valpolicella region at a height of about 220 metres and currently consists of 5 hectares of vineyards with vines that are grown according to the Gujot method. In addition, there are around 300 olive trees here which yield an excellent olive oil.
The wine matures in barrique and tonneaux style oak barrels with volumes of 225, 300, 350 and 500 litres. The maturation period in the oak barrel lasts from 12 months for the Valpolicella Superiore Classico, over 24 months for the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, and up to 48 months for the fine Amarone Riserva "Croce del Gal". The barrels are stored in air-conditioned rooms, where temperature and humidity are optimally regulated in order to achieve the finest quality wines.
This exclusive dessert wine is produced from Moscato, Trebbianel, Garganega and Fernanda grapes and is characterised by an intensive bouquet of exotic fruits. It is an ideal accompaniment to almond-flavoured desserts or ripe cheese.
An enthralling wine which combines the full-bodied and powerful sweetness of Amarone with the fresh fruitiness of the classic Valpolicella. It flatters, refreshes and impresses the palate all at once.
With a clear fruit structure and a discreet hint of spice, this is the perfect choice for those who like their wine with plenty of aroma, but not too heavy.
