The Baglio San Vincenzo is situated on a promontory and overlooks the area of Vallone, through which runs the San Vincenzo river. The Baglio (name for ancient Sicilian farms) is surrounded by gentle hills extending from the nature reserve "Valle del Belice" to the "Valle del Carboj" and ranging from Menfi to the African sea.
The landscape shows a variation of vineyards, olive-yards and citrus plantations. The aromatic qualities of the grapes are enhanced by the natural composition of the soil, rich in limestone and sand. This characteristic allows natural hydration of the plants and a perfect equilibrium between the yield per hectare and the quality of the grapes.
Lying in the centre of an area that is appreciated worldwide for its wine, the Baglio San Vincenzo is a popular destination of the wine route "Strada del Vino Terre Sicane".
The vineyard stretches over 50 hectares. The wine cellar, with a floor space of 2500 square metres, was later attached to the baglio respecting its original architectural style.
The long tradition of the winery, the competence of world-famous enologists and the use of hi-tech equipment provide the basis for the production of high quality wine.
Due to the production rate, the region between Alcamo, Trapani and Menfi ranks as second largest wine district worldwide, positioned after Bordeaux.
A typical Nero d'Avola with intensive red and purple colours. A beguiling scent of redcurrants, raspberries and blackberries. This wine is characterised by its strong body, warmth and elegance.
This intensive, elegant masterpiece made from Nero d'Avola and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes is just reward for the care and passion Lanzara puts into his work.
