Founded by the end of the 1960s in Jesi (Marches), the winery 'Montecappone' was taken over by the Bomprezzi - Mirizzi family in 1997. The new owner renovated and expanded the winery. Whereas particular attention was devoted to the care and renewal of the vines.
Montecappone presently consists of 70 hectares of wineyards spread over the hills and around the castles over Jesi. Careful selection of the grapes in combination with advanced technology lead to a perfect vinification.
As the main product of the Marches, the white wine consists of Verdicchio, Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The red wine is made of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Careful handling of the vines and a low production per hectare guarantee a high-quality product. The help of nationally acknowledged enologists and the passion of generations of the family provide the basis for extraordinary wine, that is nationally and internationally acknowledged as one of the best wines of Italy.
A typical Montepulciano to satisfy even the most demanding thanks to its elegance and full-bodied character with hints of plums, blackberries and sour cherries.
